Version 3.0

May 4th, 2010 by Gordon MacGregor

Well, I have just come from a product dev meeting and to be honest it just blew me away. We are very close to releasing the latest version of gBlast and it is looking good.

It has been a long time coming as it was basically a complete re-write which was a little bit of a risk as far as i was concerned but boy has it payed off, what we now have is a leaner, more responsive and even more intuitive platform for you guys.

If you dont already have an account be sure to sign up for one now as we will be releasing this new platform into closed testing very soon and our current customers will be the first to experience it.

A couple of the new features that you will see are:

Completely customizable reseller version, something that has been widely requested but unfortunately was impractical to implement on V2 is finally going to become a reality.

Hugely improved analytics and reporting features.

Integration with our upcoming Twitter/Facebook marketing platform.

New list manager that improves list segmentation.

Those are a few of the improvements that you can look forward to, be sure to keep cheeking back for a confirmed release dates and I will try and post some screen shots soon.

Ciao for now.

We’re Moving

February 3rd, 2010 by Gordon MacGregor

Time has come… well actually it went a wee while ago but now were are finally moving.  We have met with a few interior designers and architects who are going to help us sculpt our new space into a den of productivity and general awesomeness.  We have learned quite a lot in our few years here as well as from watching similar companies grow, and are really looking forward to building something great.  I will keep you updated with progress pics etc once work has started.  Why not check out office snapshots in the mean time, I know some of the companies covered provided me with inspiration, aside from that its generally quite an interesting blog.

Cheers

Concatenation (Long Messages)

September 24th, 2008 by Gordon MacGregor

A new feature has gone live today.  Concatenation has been an oft requested feature and as I’ve said before, we are here to please.

Concatenation, is the process of joining messages that exceed the 160 char limit.  Ordinarily they would be delivered as two separate messages, occasionally in the wrong order.  With this new feature the long message is sent as two however they are received as one long message.  Cool huh.

Any questions regarding this please send them in to the support guys, who are always there to help you out.

gBlast for free?

September 8th, 2008 by Gordon MacGregor

That’s right folks, we are going to be offering a free version of gBlast very soon.  Details aren’t exact at the moment so i wont explain too much but basically the free version will have a fixed monthly limit and will reserve the last 20 characters of the SMS for advertising (most probably our own).  We have been throwing this idea around the office for a while now and have decided to implement it on a trial basis soon.

Will report back when its live.
